Stver Broadcasting ( www.STVER.com ) and Hayasa Pictures ( www.HayasaPictures.com ) have developed an interactive Tsitsernakabert for all Armenians, but especially for the Otars (non-Armenians). Many of you may remember Hayasa Pictures by its former name as FlashToon.org, their main audience were either American-Armenians or Americans, and they have decided to make their homepage the Memorial, for the entire month of April, in hopes of raising awareness to the American community. We too have begun the recognition of this somber month, by cladding the Caricature in darker colored clothing, with a moody or sad expression on his face, to represent the tough times that we as a people share communal.

MONTREAL (CP) — Alice Panikian of Toronto was selected Miss Universe Canada 2006, defeating 48 other hopefuls Tuesday night at the Montreal casino.

The 20-year-old York University student takes over the tiara from Natalie Glebova, who went on to win the Miss Universe pageant in Thailand last year.

“It’s surreal. I think I’m dreaming,” Panikian said, checking her pulse.

The judges rated the young women on poise, confidence, intelligence, physical fitness and beauty as they modelled in swimsuits and evening gowns and made impromptu speeches.

Glebova said Panikian, who also took the Miss Photogenic prize, will give Canada a strong candidate for the Miss Universe crown for a second year in a row.

“She’s gorgeous. Absolutely stunning,” the past queen said.

Three Quebecers were among the 10 finalists, but none made the top five.

The title of Miss Universe Canada allows the winner to travel the world in defence of a favourite cause. For Panikian, it will be HIV and AIDS prevention in Africa.

“(AIDS) is very preventable. With education we can save a lot of lives,” she said.

Armenia joins the pack of rugby-playing nations! Surprisingly, the Armenian rugby team is one of the strongest among CIS countries.

"...The Rugby Federation was registered in Armenia in 2002 and the nation joined the European Rugby Association. Its appeal for assistance was heard by compatriots in France, home to a half-million strong Armenian Diaspora, and a team was formed to participate in two rugby sevens tournaments. As a result, by 2003 Armenia was already 20th out of 39 European sevens teams..."

So there are a lot of wealthy people in this world. Millions of them. How do they do it? Through various ways. I know one way, will you do it? Here it is.

Only give if you are giving for of the pure joy of giving, because you want to, not out of obligation or a feel that you have to. Love must be the guiding principle to our giving. I'm just in a mood of reflection at the moment. I've been thinking about prayer, how it is the greatest gift that God has given us. The opportunity to talk to our God whenever we want is mind-blowing. And don't believe the idea that "a good prayer is a long one". There is nothing wrong with a short prayer, and if you prolong it just to make it 'worthy' of a prayer, you rob the prayer of its sincerity.

Our God is great. He loves us. Our lives would be so much greater if we put him first in our lives, instead of the 'if I have time' section. I would especially love to see the Armenian youth giving their lives to Christ. That would be the best day of my life.

One day, a father & his sick child were walking through a village, with a donkey. It was the fathers idea to have his child ride the donkey, as he was sick and could hardly walk.

As they passed through the village, eyes caught them. Whispers arose among those watching the son. "Why is the child riding the donkey? Does he not have respect for his poor old father who is walking along side him?" they would say. This reached them and they left the village, but they were soon to pass another.

Before they entered the next village, the father & son swapped places as they thought it would be better for themselves, especially after listening to what the villagers had to say about it. So the time came when they passed through the second village. Gasps and pointing fell onto the father as he rode through the village with his child walking along side him. "Why is the father riding the donkey? Can he not see that his child is sick, yet he makes him walk?" they would say. This reached them and they left the village, but once again, they were soon to pass another.

Before they entered the last village, the father got off the donkey and they were both now walking into the village. Laughter and mockery was placed upon the father & his son. "Why are they both walking? Is a donkey not for riding?" they would say. This reached them and they left the village, reaching home soon afterwards.

The moral to the story?

No matter what you do, people will talk.

It has come to the attention of many that our Muslim friends have caused an uproar over a Danish newspaper cartoon from many months ago that depicted Prophet Muhammed with a bomb over his head. A cartoon. Believe it or not, embassies have been bombed and people have been killed as a result.

Is it really this serious? How many times the religious symbols of Christianity have been ridiculed, cartooned and sometimes outright offended? Isn't it part of the freedoms the western society enjoys?

I am just a little frustrated at the referees, (1) for denying the Seahawk touchdown when it clearly was a good play and (2) allowing the Steelers TD when it didn't even cross the line!

The Rolling Stones are singing a song, so I'm just posting my opinion before the game resumes. Tell me what you think.

Good news guys,

Nintendo announced that it will release the new DS, called the "Nintendo DS Lite" in Japan on March 2.

Nintendo DS Lite will come with all the unique features of the original DS, but its weight and size have been trimmed down.

The handheld will be priced at 16,800 yen ($145), which is a little more expensive than the original DS, which sells for 15,000 yen ($130). No US or European release plans were announced.

Who wants one? I know I always wanted the DS but have been waiting for a smaller version to come along.
